Review #449
Cara Bastone has a unique way of making a 5 hour conversation interesting. The story is completely dialogue, like her other read I recently listened to that seems like would only work as an audible.
I gave this novella a 4/5 stars and here’s my ramblings while reading:
In chapter 9 I’m a little bored during their road trip when their back and forth to get to know each other lags a little. Both characters are adorable and likeable but I want to know their flaws.
The mom Brenda is a bit much.
It makes no sense that she’d stop at a flea market but it makes things more interesting.
There is almost too much sunshine and perfection going on. A box of kittens? Is this the highest endorphins raising story of all time?
