Loved this part- “Smiling rabbits, sparkling birds, tree-sized people, a human-swallowing snow-tornado.”

Around page 45 Zane feels like Pan a bit. I thought it was supposed to have more Jack Frost vibes?

After chapter 9 and introduction to the pirates the uniqueness of the world and magical elements is starting to feel a bit tiresome since we keep being shown new creatures but don’t have a solid goal from Helen. What is she trying to achieve?

So I stopped around page 80. The first 50 pages felt promising and I usually make up my mind at that point about continuing. I felt confident. But then noticed I soon after started skimming and losing interest.

I can’t quite pin point why other than not fully knowing what was going on. There was a lot of magical elements but didn’t feel like there was a clear direction or purpose.
