No Words

Review #450

Overall, I gave this sweet, clean contemporary bookish romance a 4.2/5 stars. Written all in one point of view, I enjoyed the island setting. The fact that they were at an author festival was cool since I was invited to my first one recently.

Here’s my ramblings and notes while reading:

‘No Words’ starts with Jo Wright landing on the island of Little Bridge for a weekend book festival among her author nemesis, Will Price. They don’t share a great history so I wonder if it’ll be rivals to lovers.

Is she allowed to quote Reese Witherspoon?

Her swear words of “Oh, Kitten!” and such are a bit much.

Halfway through, the tension at their panel was great. But yeah Will is confusing and definitely hiding stuff.

I love Jo’s character 90% of the time. The plot and tension picked up a bunch st the halfway mark so I enjoyed the second half better, however the “villain” had nothing to do with the main characters and I couldn’t peg the climatic moment either.
