C.G. Miller

What’s your pen name?

I write romantic suspense under the pen name C.G. Miller.

Tell me about your most recent book you’re writing and the title.

The final book in The X-Perience Series is Brutal Endeavors which is an enemy to lovers’ romance. This final instalment will take you down a new outlook into the elite underground world of The X-Perience. The first two books revolved around an outsider of the elite club and an insider to the elite club. In Brutal Endeavors, both characters are already on the inside. They know the world, how it works and what it takes to be in this world. After being forced into working together, we will see how their hate for each other fuels the sexual tension between the two. Two characters that hold so much disdain for one another will make for a dark comedic experience.

Would you ever go to outer space if given the chance? Why or why not?

My husband and I were actually talking about this the other day. My answer was no and still remains no. I have seen celebrities of recent go to outer space, but they saw a small glimpse. In my opinion, if you are going to go to outer space, might as well go to no return and I’m not willing to let go to what still grounds me. My family.

In high school, what would you have been named as “most likely to ____”

In high school I was most likely to become a writer.

What’s the first sentence in your most recent book?

“Walking into the massive hall filled with sin and insanity, I reminisced on what brought me here.”

Tell me something your antagonist doesn’t want me to know.

My antagonist doesn’t want you to know that he has built his reputation on being cruel, so he never has to show how vulnerable he really is. Because he knows that when he finds the one, he will have to bare his true soul which is more flowers than daggers.

Who do you talk bookish related topics to the most?

Most of my bookish related talk is done with the indie author support group on Instagram. In everyday face to face, it is with my coworker who isn’t a book lover but, I am trying to convert her. Even though she doesn’t read, her support is amazing.

What are the most prevalent themes in your writing?

Dark. I find beauty in the dark which fuels my writing preference. The dark, deranged messed up world life can be is relatable and all the more worth it when the main character finds their light at the end of the book.

Who would win in a fight between Peter Pan and Jack Sparrow and why?

I don’t believe there would be a fight. The two are too similar and would bond over their young spirits while Peter Pan played his pan flute and Jack Sparrow drank some rum around a fire.  Or there is a fight and Jack Sparrow was invading Neverland looking for gold. But Peter Pan would fly so many circles around Jack Sparrow making him dizzy passing out on his ship. Then Peter Pan would win deserting Jack on the other side of the island with the mermaids distracting Jack Sparrow long enough for Peter Pan to hide his ship. Would turn into a cat and mouse game like with Captain Hook.

Write a few sentences about where you are currently sitting so the reader can imagine themselves there.

Everyone is in bed, and I am alone in the living room. The leather couch is cold, and my computer is my light. My tv is background noise is of Law & Order: SVU while I focus on writing.

If you could take a character on a date, who would you choose?

I would want to take one of my MC, Cree, from Marked For You on a date. I chose him because he is dark and mysterious.

Where would your character hide proof of their most important secrets?

In Love Games, Book 2 of The X-Perience, all of Eve’s family most important secrets are tucked away in a safe hidden by The Starry Night painting.

What’s one of your favorite tv shows?

I have so many! My favorite that I watch every morning with my coffee is Roseanne (1988). I find it very funny and spot on for me when it comes to marrying young and struggling to make ends meet while having children. A show I can relate to.

Give a shout out to another author who deserves some recognition.

There are so many indie authors I have connected with on Instagram. I am slowly getting through reading everyone’s work. My most recent favorite author I would like to give a shout out to is T.L Quinn. Her books offer quick whit banter, all the spice, and heroines that are bad***.

What’s your writing goals for 2022?

My writing goals for 2022 is to finish the last book in The X-Perience Series, Brutal Endeavors, and release in June. After that I will be diving back into standalones and fingers crossed will release two more books by December 2022.

Tell me about a book you’d like to advertise and why?

I would like to advertise Marked For You. This is the first book in The X-Perience Series based in an elite underground world where all your fantasies come true with a click of a button.

Kyle is a small-town girl looking to take control to find something bigger than the boring everyday life she lives. What would she do to live out a fantasy when it is a click away?

Working as a companion, Cree, found an outlet for his deviant fantasies. He calls himself a monster with only three rules: Play the game, Don’t get attached, and Never fall in love.

One weekend. One experience. Maybe he has finally met his match.

Can be read as a standalone with a HEA. Due to trigger warning, this book is 18+.

I want to advertise this book because it is the first in the series with the second releasing in a few weeks. I stepped outside my comfort zone with this one and meshed the dark and light in a sexy and unsavory way.
