Reader Q+A #7

What’s your name and what book would you buy all your friends if possible?

My name is Emma (@lived.a.thousand.lives on Instagram) and the book I would buy for all my friend is probably Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It’s my all-time favorite book because I feel like I have so much in common with the main character and I think it would be fun to see how all my friends react to it. Some of them have already read it and it felt so good when they loved it as much as I do.

Tell me a book you’d want to live inside and why?

I would want to live in the Percy Jackson books by Rick Riordan. I would love it to be a demi-god, though I’m sure I wouldn’t survive for too long in that universe.

What villain would you want to date and why?

Ohhh, that a difficult question because I tend to fall for the villain quiet often… I think at the moment it would be Loki for the MCU because I believe he just need someone to really love him and to show him that other side of him, that good side.

What villain would you want to kill and why?

Another difficult question because I’m either in love with the villain or I want to kill them. One of the villains I’ve wanted to kill for the longest time now is President Snow from The Hunger Games. I’ve always thought he was an amazing villain, but I just wanted to stab him so badly.

Give me a great quote from a book you really like (what book?)

“To really be a nerd, she’d decided, you had to prefer fictional worlds to the real one.” This is one of my favorite quotes from my favorite book, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell.

Who is your favorite author and why?

I don’t really have one favorite author. It’s just too hard to choose just one. But some of my favorite authors are Cassandra Clare, Lyssa Kay Adams, Holly Black, Stephen King and more. My favorite author tends to change with my moods, whether I’m in the mood for fantasy, romance, horror… I’m just someone who easily falls in love with a book and usually when I love a book, I love the author.

What book would you start a book club about?

I think a good book (series) to start a book club about would be the Bromance Book Club  series by Lyssa Kay Adams. I’ve learned a lot from those books and would love for others to read them so we could discuss them together. But honestly I would just love to have a real life book club, most of my real life friends aren’t really into reading and that’s why I started my bookstagram account, to find more people who love books just as much as I do.

Do you like e-books, paperbacks or hardcovers best and why?

I absolutely love hardcover because they’re so gorgeous but I prefer reading paperbacks because they’re usually a better format and they’re also cheaper so I can buy more of them. I’m not a big fan of e-books because I just love the feeling of a book in my hands and I already spend enough time looking at a screen during the day. I do own a couple e-books, but most of the time when I read something on my phone, it’s fanfiction.

Tell me a book you’d like to read before 2022.

There are so so many books on my tbr pile and I would love to read them all before 2022, but that’s impossible. So if I have to say one book that I really want to read before 2022 begins, I’m going to go for Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurin. I’ve had that book for a while and now that the trilogy is complete and I own all three books, it’s time to binge read this series soon.

Give me a plug of something you’d love all bookish people to purchase and why it’s superb.

I love collecting bookmarks, mostly bookmarks with art based on the books I love. I own like 34 bookmarks at the moment and I love them all, a lot. I know you can’t use many at the same time, but they look beautiful on my shelves with their matching books.
I also have this little lamp you can attach to your books so you can read when it’s darker and it’s amazing! I use it almost every day and I don’t know what I would do without it.
