Till There Was You is a fun and fast beach read that I rate 4.1/5 stars. I’m not a foodie so the plot about Lexie being a chef and describing ingredients doesn’t do anything for me. But Jake being a singer is keeping my interest.
The prose flow well so I have no complaints about the writing and flew through this quickly.
I really enjoyed side character of Mia who jumped off the page.
In the beginning- Chapter 3 ends on a fast burn and … I’m not really into it. Like what else is there to look forward to after they’ve already slept together?
At the halfway mark, I’m enjoying it more than in the beginning. I’m unsure how much Im upset about Lexie fully welcoming him back in. Like I don’t want her to be too passive and get trampled on. Yes, she’s playing it safe, but is she still allowing him into her life too easily?
There conflict was 100% predictable at the climatic moment so I wish for more creativity All in all, this was a feel good, easy novel.
