I gave this standalone romance audio a 4.4/5 stars. It was pleasantly surprising with its deep characters who are going through relatable issues in their late 30s/early 40s instead of in their young 20s.
The characterization was great and I loved how chill John was. The way he allowed life down was refreshing. And the thorough, meticulous way he acted in the sex scenes was quite steamy.
I really enjoyed the unique perspective of birding and could imagine them in nature.
Her relationship with her daughter was also depicted really realistically.
