Review #558

I give this steamy romance a 4.9/5 stars! It had two points of view, and ended with a happily ever after.

This book was raw, emotional, & came highly recommended by our bookclub leader. I listened to it on audio and the male character outshined the female both with narrators voice and drama/personality.

I thoroughly enjoyed their depth and even scenes with therapy!!

(I liked how the sport of football didn’t completely take over the plot.)

Since I listened to it I don’t know how to spell Mira, but that toddler was cute as sin.

My only complaint is I wish Zoey had a perspective in the sex scene too or at least in the epilogue because at the end she felt like a supporting character of Liam. Also, in the beginning I had somehow completely misunderstood their relationship until chapter 4. I thought this was second chance romance and interpreted Zoey’s divorce to be from Liam 2 years ago. This wasn’t clear that she had divorced someone named Charles. How did I miss that? It very much changed how I perceived the situation until it was clarified.

I’d read more by Karla Sorensen in the future.
