The coloring of the cover online is much brighter than the printed cover on the hardcover jacket.
I absolutely loved the interior artwork n the chapter headers.
The premise was extremely interesting but I didn’t finish this one. I need to start looking at the kindle “take a peek inside” on Amazon before requesting a library loan to make sure it’s written in first person narrative.
Ironically some audio books work fine for me in third person but not physical copies.
The writing had very strong/active verbs, both vivid and descriptive. There was head hopping mid chapter to a different character which is tricky for me to navigate. The prose definitely felt YA and because I’m trying to strengthen my prose to feel more eloquent, I didn’t want to keep reading to use this as a model since I’m attempting to write to an older crowd.
