Review #482

I read this one at the beach in July! It’s summer time! I’m rating this lovely romcom a 4.75/5 stars. It was all written in one pov which is rare for romcoms these days.

Here’s my random thoughts while reading:

I’m so happy that the author did her research about dyslexia and also purposefully set up the interior formatting to accommodate readers with dyslexia.

I barely write notes when I’m super into a book which is the case here. I guess a little synopsis would be: Samantha came back to her home town to chaperone her teen half brother while their dad is on vacation. It worked out well for timing since she recently quit her job as a chef. While getting to know her brother she has barely spent time with and supporting her best friend through a health crisis she meets the library director, super adorbs by the way. Introduce- Ben.

At the halfway mark I’m loving this book but the hero hot book guy AKA needs more flaws.

I love their cute habit of getting interrupted by timers. And their first semi steamy scene of him reading to her while touching her was unique and awesome!!!

I’m not a fan of guys ghosting their girls in books.

The big scenes definitely had me on edge but I wish the actually last chapter was prolonged a little and had an epilogue to wind things down.
