Tropes- Friends to lovers, pining, magic, grump mc, steamy

I’ve been in a rut since my boyfriend dumped me, and now he’s in my coffee shop every day with his new fiancé. When grouchy Cane makes my body hum again, I know I’m ready to move on. With his curled horns and awkward smile, I’m braced for Cane to ask me out, except he doesn’t.

Cane wants to make a deal. I’d help to foresee into my ex’s love life, something I don’t want to do, and I’m guaranteed a sexy night of skin-on-skin contact wrapped in Cane’s warm muscled arms, an experience I might have been hoping for. What’s the harm in partaking of the pleasures the spell requires? The thing is, love spells require one thing, and it’s something I’m not sure I can give…

How long have you been writing and why did you start?

I’ve been writing since 2008, publishing since 2018, and striving to constantly improve my story telling. I love creating worlds and people and being able to explore who they are and what it takes for them to change.

What is your creative ‘process?’

I’m a pantser that’s striving towards plotting, but generally I have a concept and the characters grow within that setting.

Who do you look up to most in this profession and why?

How worldbuilding can drag you into a world and won’t let you go. Being able to be immersed and set within a character is an amazing storytelling ability.

Finish this sentence: “When she reached forward towards the doorknob ….

What is one of your exciting upcoming ideas/themes for a project you haven’t started yet?

A queer retelling of Beauty and the Beast featuring a sexy NB character and a grumpy MC who needs to learn to forgive.

Who is one of your favorite heroines and why?

One of the reasons why I love The Midsummer Bride is how the heroine has to adjust her thinking from everyone is against me, to understanding the world around her and how others operate within it. She has to make herself vulnerable to move forward and in doing so, finds the love of her life and her place within the world.

Who is one of your favorite villains and why?

My favorite villains are those who you could see be hero in another story, where they made slightly different decisions. Those who have valid reasons for their actions, even when they seem like they’re not the correct or reasonable ones. For that, I really enjoy Nalini Sign’s villains.

ALL DONE!!!
