My friend recommended this audiobook, Call Me Maybe, because of how well the dialogue was narrated and the chemistry between the two main characters felt like a scene and interaction between each other. The male always spoke Cal’s parts and Vera always spoke the female’s. This is the first time I heard a back and forth like this. There were never any “I said” or “she said.”
I gave this sweet, short, easy romcom a 4.3/5. I’m unsure if I’ve ever read a sunshine/sunshine pairing before.
The random threatening emails didn’t seem to have anything to do with the plot and was a bit anticlimatic.
Miscommunication plots aren’t my favorite… by the voices of the characters were great. I liked the MMC more than the FMC but both had depth. I wish there were a few more obstacles in their path.
