Review #623
I really enjoyed this audiobook! I’d rate it a 4.0/5 stars. The dual POV narration was fantastic, especially the male narrator’s accent—it added so much charm and really brought his character to life. I found myself looking forward to his chapters just to hear that voice again.
The main female character… okay, she was a lot. Sometimes a bit too much for me, if I’m being honest. But here’s the thing—she had so much personality that she actually stood out from the usual romance heroines I’ve listened to lately. She felt unique and real, even when she was being extra. I think that’s pretty rare, so I appreciated it even if she occasionally grated on my nerves.
My one gripe is probably personal preference, but I’m just not a kilt person. If you love that whole Scottish romance vibe, you’ll probably eat this up. For me, it wasn’t really my thing, but it didn’t ruin the story.
Overall, this was a solid listen. The narration elevated it, the characters were memorable, and it was a fun escape. Would recommend if you’re looking for something witchy and romantic with great audio production!
