Review #597
Overall I rated this standalone audio a 4.25/5 stars. It was a mix between romance and suspense.
My friend recommended this one because the characters are in their 30s. But there are two timelines so the other chapters are at age 22.
It starts out with a strong love triangle. But for being best friends, Maggie and Clayton definitely don’t chat like besties.
My biggest frustration was the needless repetition around the 70% mark. We get it. She keeps changing her mind and going back and forth.
I’m glad there were two unexpected reveals near the end. I love when I guess wrong.
This book was definitely unique to what I’ve read recently and would recommend it. Sometimes the jealousy was a bit too much and annoying, but yeah… good book.
