Review #593
I binged this audio in 48 hours and enjoyed painting while listening. I gave it a 3.9/5 stars. There was one narrator which held consistency.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t a huge fan of most of the characters. The main heroine acted like a “victim” too far into the book and things keep happening TO her instead of having any agency.
The part that kept me most intrigued was definitely figuring out who the villain was.
I’m glad it wasn’t super obvious, but about 60% through I had a pretty good idea. I wish there was a twist at the end.
At the halfway mark I was quite irritated because WHY does every thriller have a theme of sexual assault, not believing women, ladeeda same old story. Why can’t we be more creative in plot points? I’m so tired of the repetition.
