I’m not going to display this short review on my social media ido media because it’s not great. I listened to The Comeback on audio and thought the narrators voice was super annoying. It was all in one PoV so told in one voice. I did finish the whole 9 hours but it wasn’t the story for me. I’ll probably rate it a 3.8/5 stars.
I kept hoping it’d improve but the characters weren’t likable, there is a lot of repetition in their conversations that was getting irritating, and the indecisive choices started bugging me.
Ugh Adriadne keeps going back and forth and back and forth with her interior discussion. Unfortunately Jihoon didn’t really seem redeemable for me. The whole situation gave me the icky the entire time because of social media and public eye and … it’s meant for a different reader.
I did put one of her other upcoming books on my TBR because I enjoyed her fluid prose and the cover looked pretty.
