I’m giving this easy, quick, steamy fantasy romance by Kimberly Lemming (with demons!!) a fun 4.7/5 stars.
Voice voice and more voice! Love it!
All the characters are unique and stand out quickly in such a short page space which is impressive.
The pacing & dialogue run so smoothly. I can sense myself in the environment with little descriptive hints that are dispersed lightly but effectively. Their banter is adorable and I love the demon so much.
However I am confused when 2nd person is thrown in like- “Wandermere had signs guiding you in every direction, so I had no worry of getting lost.”
At the halfway mark I’m loving the humor. There isn’t necessarily eloquent writing, but hey, I don’t care in the slightest when I’m this entertained.
Chapter 9 is steamy steamy!
I like how their quest of breaking the chalices is clear and concise.
All done already. Read thru this in a couple hours.
It was a quick, easy, fun, spicy read. I’m worried I won’t have much to say at the bookclub since it was simple & straightforward. The strengths were the humor and dialogue. The weakness was probably the choppy and repetitive prose. Would recommend and I’d read the next one in the series for funzies as a palate cleanser.
