How long have you been writing?
I started writing seriously in college. What truly got me started writing with the intent to create an actual boom was the Shatter Me series. Tahereh Magic is a brilliant writer and her work inspired me.

What gets you in the mood to write?
Anything that excites me or moves me in some way. Good storytelling.

What is your creative ‘process?’
I am very much a pantser. I make a rough outline and then I let the characters tell me their story and let the story fly. I am a discovery writer and I love it.

Who do you look up to most?
Tahereh Mafi. Not only is her work incredibly moving, but she also keeps her personal life to herself because that’s what makes her feel most comfortable. I respect that. Shelby Mahurin and Adrienne Young are also fantastic author who I look up to. They have their own brand that seems relatable, yet inspiring.

I am a very immersive writer who gravitates towards themes of the sea and fairytale vibes. You will always find magic in my stories to some capacity. I really strive to create a story that moves you. I want to make you feel.
