Review- #576

I gave this easy audio a 4.3/5 stars. I wasn’t a huge fan of the male narrators voice which impacts my enjoyment slightly.

Also, Lucy was quite annoying with having zero self confidence and constantly comparing herself to others. We’re all self conscious, yes, but it got exhausting.

Overall I was glad Cooper didn’t give up on her and bail. He gave me some faith in men. Or at least in women’s hope, since this was a female author who wrote the character.

The title name felt a bit too much on the nose, giving the trope away too obviously.

I wanted a bit more adventure since cliff jumping and throwing her into the pool felt a bit mild when she wanted to challenge herself and try new things.

This romcom was clean and never had a steamy scene which was disappointing. I wish we had a spice rating on the back of each book or part of the blurb with an objective chart for what the amount of chili peppers represents.

I believe this standalone has a spin off about her best friend and brother, Drew, but I probably won’t read that.
