Review #550

I rated the first one called, “Blood & Moonlight” a 4.5/5 stars on May 13, 2023 but since then my tastes have changed in the last 18 months, I’m unsure if I’ll like the sequel as much since it’s very YA. I have a huge personal issue with broken up series since I really need to binge them all to get the right impact.

After finishing Silence and Shadow I still don’t understand the relevance of the title. I rate this sequel a 4.2/5 stars. It seemed more of a mystery than fantasy.

I know it’s necessary but in chapter 7 I’m bored by the explanation of all the stones. I also wanted more emotions shown during the faked/forced wedding.

After Chapter 12 I totally think the serial killer is Martin…? Will I be right?

After Chapter 21- aah! Why isn’t her moon magic working correctly? Is someone sabotaging her or is because she’s a hybrid?

The seriel killer’s sense of art is very disturbing, especially since its focus is their prolonged tortured agony.

After finishing I think my biggest grievance is the lack of emotion felt throughout. I wanted To know who the villain was and how the two would end up together as a couple, but there wasn’t enough feels.
