Review #548
The Midnight Feast was a more complicated audible than what I’m used to listening to due to all the several points of view and the three timelines of when they were teens, the day before the solstice and the day after the solstice.
I’ll rate it a 4.2/5 stars.
At the halfway mark it was a bit frustrating that no pieces of the mystery were being revealed as the story progressed. Instead, were are just more complications added into a heap of a pile. I’m glad I stuck around until the end. There was one mild surprise that was clever. Overall I didn’t feel super invested in any character other than Eddie so I’m unsure if I’ll read another by this author asap but I’d give her a chance again in the future.
