How long have you been writing and why did you start?
I started writing during the pandemic, it was a nice escape from everyone going on in the world. I was writing lots of personal projects, but in March this year I got the idea for the Fortune Records series.

What gets you in the mood to write?
Being cozy! Also, having a cute desk set up and a cup of tea.

What is your creative ‘process?’
Everything starts with the characters for me! I really enjoy getting into my character design, which is the most fun part of fantasy writing. Once I have my characters chosen, everything flows from there.

What is the most surprising thing about being an author?
The community of readers. I absolutely love receiving messages and working with my street team.

What’s something unique about yourself or your writing?
I used to work in the music industry, and I bring that into my writing. My Fortune Records series is all centred around a record label.

I have a series planned that’s set in an underwater city.

Who is one of your favorite heroines and why?
Bryce Quinlan from Crescent City because it is so good to see a plus size MC in a huge, traditionally published series.

Who is one of your favorite villains and why?
The Darkling from Shadow and Bone because he truly made me question my morals!
