Unfortunately I didn’t finish this one. it was. Book club selection. I usually read romcoms in first person narrative only and this one is third person.
My random notes while starting:
That was a surprising first chapter for someone like me who doesn’t read blurbs. So I went back to read the blurb and the opening scene part wasn’t mentioned. I don’t think I would’ve picked it up if I had known the MMC accidentally killed the FMC younger sister. That doesn’t feel like a romcom issue.
I’m not a fan of head hopping mid chapter but the real reason I didn’t finish is because I’m not a huge fan of all the social media and Hollywood name dropping vibe.
I know lots of others loved this book but it wasn’t for me.
