Gasp. Classics aren’t my favorite. I never actually read Emma when younger. Despite the animated audio voices in dialogue to make this more interactive I was bored and didn’t like how much telling there was over showing in the prose. There were also way too many characters to follow. There was no clear goal or purpose other than giving backstories of what family the newcomers came from.

think people put too much value into classics. not all of them are good, and its not for everyone either. I’ve not read Emma either, nor do I plan to, this review kind of solidified it, too many characters are a burden in even the best of stories
