Review #476

Strong 4.5/5 stars for Happily Never After. This contemporary romance had two points of view and fast/quick chapters. It was easy to read with a compelling, new take on weddings and a fear of love.

Max is The (hired) Objector at Sophie’s wedding because her fiancé had been cheating on her. Mad does it as a side hustle for good, easy money that helps others get out of bad relationships. It sounds like Sophie now wants in on the business to be an objector herself.

At the halfway point I’ve barely put the book down since it flows so well they I haven’t written any notes or comments. I love how straight forward she is yet balanced with how much denial she’s in of what could be defined as love.

He’s divine but I’m worried he’s almost too attractive.

Chapter 30 was hot hot HOT.

Awe he falls first is the best.

After chapter 34 I want her to be a little more aware that she’s pushing it away

I love the PowerPoint presentation! Feels totally like me haha.

So I’m very super glad that he wasn’t still in Lili’s life.

I’m also glad they didn’t announce their love fully as 100% and realistically they didn’t know what the future held

The part that didn’t seem real was highly plot oriented to the central concept… doesn’t feel like THAT many couples can’t call off their own wedding and truly need someone else to object for them. Just do it yourself if you want out.

Oh and Max seemed too good looking.
