This is a story by, Jo Segura, is of love with Mexican history entwined with an Indiana Jones movie, but a female being the badass. I give It a high 4.8/5 stars and would barely change a thing. It’s actually surprisingly how much I loved it because it’s written in third person.
I grabbed this one as an impulse buy because the cover was so fun and vibrant and different. Plus I love treasure hunt type vibes. Corrie is summoned by an unknown source to complete an archeologist dig at an undisclosed location for an undetermined reason. Because she’s too intrigued, she takes the mysterious guy up in the offer, questioning her sanity.
Once there, her nemesis from grad school, Ford, is the one waiting for her, desperate for her help. He’s the one she’d most likely hate-fuck but doesn’t trust him at all because he burned her in their past.

After ch 14 I wish the sex scene was pushed back a little so not as soon or rushed. Also, all steamy scenes have been in Ford’s PoV but I want to experience Corrie’s side
I hated how chapter 24 began a year later after how chapter 23 ended.
