In the first chapter, Annie is waiting for a Tom Hanks, just like the title says lol. She’s ready for the man of her dreams to uproot every thing and fill in the missing pieces.
At page 34 I’m frustrated with all the celebrity name dropping and movie titles listed every other paragraph. I’d rather be engrossed in the story that told about others.
At page 50 it’s a little too slow moving for me and the cliches and tropes are being explained too often it feels like it’s being laid on a bit thick.
This is a cute story but I’m not in the right place for it now. I’m beginning to think that contemporary romances REALLY have to impress me for me to like it. Like it’s usually a 5 star or DNF.
