Forestfall is a sequel that starts from Rowan’s point of view. I’ve read a whole separate trilogy between Lakesedge in this series and this one so I don’t remember if Rowan had a PoV in Lakesedge or not.

Violeta is stuck in the underworld with Lord Under. She’s not quite dead or alive. I’m confused if she still remembers her family because part of the recap confused me of whether she still recalls Arien, her brother or not.

Also, if she hates her new ‘non-life” then why is she offering to help Lord Under with his souls?

I’m jealous of the imagery that Lyndall Clipstone’s prose form. But spider silk and drips of ink are starting to be used a bit too often.

She calls herself dead but she knows she’s not typically dead so it’s a little confusing.

At page 100 I was losing interest because her objective wasn’t strong enough for me to hold my attention. She also was sacrificing too much with all these trades that I started losing respect for her. I somehow stopped caring if they succeeded. I enjoyed Rowan’s chapters more but overall the story was fading from me.
